Kriya Yoga Anushthana

Kaivalyadhama, is offering a spiritual retreat under the guidance of Rev. Swami Maheshanandaji who is the Spiritual Leader and Chairman of Kaivalyadhama The essential feature of yoga is spiritual pursuit which predominantly is an experiential oriented endeavor. Kriya Yoga offers a direct approach for “attenuation of kleshas” and “accessing samadhi bhava” according to Patanjala Yoga Sutra. This is a practice oriented workshop for yoga sadhakas already practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama for a while as there will no teaching or correction of the above practices during this workshop. Participants are expected to follow self–discipline and abide by the instructions.

Starting Monday morning till Saturday evening, the six days would include.

  1. Pooja and Havan, Practice of Pranayama, Omkar and recitation of Mantras, which would constitute the major part of Anushthana at Saraswati Mandir hall.
  2. Lecture for understanding the concept  and practice of “ KRIYA YOGA
  3. Practice of Yogasanas and Pranayama.
  4. Diet during the Anushthana – wholesome meals at the lunch time and a Light Dinner.

maheshanandaAbout Swami Maheshananda

Swami Maheshananda is a renunciate, which means that all materiality has been given up and the past has been ‘burnt away’, nothing can be known about it. In the present, Swami Maheshananda is the Spiritual Leader and Chairman of Kaivalyadhama. He lives minimally at the Kaivalyadhama Ashram Kuti where morning and evening Agnihotra (fire ceremony and Vedic chanting) is practised.
