This program is designed as a
Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Course and a Yoga camp for Pregnant women.
In this Teaching-Learning module- Pre Natal Yoga teachers will learn from Pregnant women’s experience and Pregnant women will be comfortable and confident to carry over their personalised Prenatal Yoga program.
About the Teacher
Matra Raj (yogamatra.com) is a Rehab Therapist, a Certified prenatal educator and a Yoga Therapist.
For the past 35 years, she has made presentations at national and international conferences and conducted workshops and seminars for professionals and for community wellness programs.
She has integrated Therapeutic Yoga in physical and mental health in acute, clinical, out patients and research field at The Stanford Medical Health Services and Veteran Administration V.A. Rehabilitation Research Department Ca. She teaches Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) for the American Heart Association.
She designed Peri Natal Yoga for ‘Becoming Parents Program’ for Stanford Children’s Health Services.
She teaches and certifies Yoga Teachers, Yoga Therapists and Peri Natal educator and has also taught application of Yoga for Discovery Vedant organization India.
Matra was an invitee for Round Table Delegation by Birthing The Future, a non-profit organization, to focus global attention on the critically important nature, and long-term impact, of birth and the entire Primal Period at Tenerife in the Canary Islands Spain April 2011.
Her Training as a Rehabilitation Therapist was at prestigious G.S. Medical College and King Edward Hospital at Mumbai India. She has completed her Post graduation at the All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Mumbai India. Her Yoga Training was at pioneer Kaivalyadham Yoga research and education Institute Lonavla India.

Prenatal Yoga for Pregnant Women
Requirement: Doctor’s written referral with specific instructions for his/her client needed for course enrolment.
Participation in practice session would be as per the participant’s level of comfort.
All pregnant woman will get Prenatal Yoga personally designed program by teachers in Prenatal Yoga training under the supervision of Prenatal Yoga course leader.
It is mandatory to attend orientation for course and attend needed Pertinent information sessions
Participants can attend Prenatal Yoga Theory sessions If interested.
An Ayurvedic or a Naturopathy session and an Ayurvedic cooking session is complimentary.
Course learning materials will be provided upon arrival. Additional copies will be available at the in-campus bookstore. Materials provided:

Certificate will be issued upon completion of:
1. 85 hours of course work.
2. Submission of
- Elective Project
- Teaching 30 hours to pregnant women in set up of your choice.
3. Full attendance of the course per schedule is mandatory. Please contact authorities for any issues.
The pre-natal program at Kaivalyadham was comprehensive and well paced …. the faculty was highly experienced and adequate practice was conducted.
